Children in KS1 and KS2 have been given the opportunity to take part in a well-being visit to Watercress Farm, which is part of Belmont Estate for a ‘Be Wild’ day.
The classes that have attended so far have had a fantastic time learning about the rewilding project taking place on the farmland there, and how important these initiatives are in promoting and protecting diversity of wildlife and ecosystems across the UK. Children loved exploring the site, meeting the animals on the farm, experiencing outdoor play in the woods and streams, and trying delicious elderflower flatbreads made from elderflowers foraged on-site.
We would like to thank the PTFA for funding the trip - the children have all loved the experience.
